What kind of soldering iron for Laptop repair?

What is the best brand, wattage and tips for working on laptop computers? I have several laptops that need repair, they vary in degree of disrepair and need to know the best kind and most economical solder iron to use for this project, I am on a very limited budget, so price is a factor. I have tried Radio Hack and they break within a few weeks.

    it depends on what type of soldering your going to be doing… most laptops circuit boards are soldered together with micro soldering machines because the integrated circuits are far to small for anyone to solder by hand.. but if your just soldering saw a new d.c. plug.. then just get one that has a small tip. and if your careful, it will last a long time.
